When you apply for your MN license, you will need to provide your Social Security Number and documents that prove your identity (i.e. date of birth and your full legal name). If you are under 18, you will also need to bring a certificate of enrollment that proves you have completed a Driver's Education course. For more information about the acceptable identification documents your contact your local DVS office or check the MN Driver's Manual.
If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian should accompany you as they will need to sign your application. In some cases, exceptions are made but you will need to check if you are eligible for this exemption with your local DVS office.
