You must take your VT Driver's license photo at the DMV office. When you take your photo, you should make sure that you wear what you would wear normally. It's extremely important that your face is clearly shown and recognizable. Look straight at the camera and do not smile, as a resting face is easier to identify.
When you apply for your VT Learner's Permit, you will need to bring proof of your identity, proof of your residency in Vermont and your Social Security Number. If you are under 18, your Learner's Permit application will need to be signed by your parent or legal guardian.
