What You Need to Know about Florida Motorcycle Permit Practice Tests

Before you can be granted a motorcycle license in Florida, you must first complete the Basic Rider Course provided by the state?s DMV office. Luckily, there are many practice tests available to help guide you through this course with ease.

Much like every other state, Florida has certain requirements that must be met before drivers can operate road vehicles. This stipulation also affects motorcyclists. If you are interested in earning your motorcycle license, then you will need to enroll in and successfully pass a Basic Rider Course that is offered through Florida?s Rider Training Program. In order to take the motorcycle riding course, you need to already have a Florida driver?s license and be at least 16 years of age. If you are over 16 and have had a learner?s permit for at least 12 months, you can go ahead and apply to receive a motorcycle-only license. Drivers who are younger than 18 will also need to obtain parental consent in order to get their license. To help you retain the information found in the manual or learned in the Basic Rider Course, you can take a Florida motorcycle permit practice test online.

Only drivers who are attempting to earn a motorcycle-only license and do not have a driver?s license will need to take the motorcycle permit test. Drivers who go through the Basic Rider Course will not be required to take this exam. It contains 40 questions and asks the same questions as the Class E license exam. In order to earn a passing score on the test, you must get the correct answer on at least 30 questions. While you are involved in the Basic Rider Course, you will learn all of the necessary basics regarding driving and owning a motorcycle. Everyone who wants to obtain a new motorcycle license will need to complete the Basic Rider course, regardless of age or previous driving experience.

Even though Florida does not require you to take a written exam to earn a motorcycle license, the practice tests available online will help you to retain information that will undoubtedly be important as you go through the Basic Rider Course. It will also help you to remember information that will help you to stay safe when you?re out on the road.
