The Department of Motor Vehicles in Florida is responsible for granting licenses and permits to those who pass two or more tests. Florida is one of just a few states that lets teens apply for a permit when they're as young as 15 years old. You'll need to bring a parent or guardian with you to sign the application, and your parent needs to show proof of identity and proof of your familial relationship before signing. While you can get your Florida driving permit at a young age, you still need to pass the DMV permit test before you drive home from that office.

Florida uses two different types of permits: an instructional permit and a full permit. The instructional Florida teen permit is available to those who pass a test but haven't yet finished a driving training program. This permit prohibits you from driving with minors in the car and driving at night. Once you have a full permit, you have more freedom about when you drive and who you can have in your car.

The FL permit practice test lets you take a test at home that is similar to the DMV permit test used in Florida. One thing that so many teens like about our practice tests is that they can take those tests anywhere they go. As long as you have access to the Internet, you can practice the test. Take the Florida permit practice test while hanging out in the library after school, before getting ready for school in the morning or after coming home from school.

We suggest that before taking the DMV permit test or using our practice test, you take a look at the Florida DMV Drivers Handbook Manual. This manual covers everything you need to know about operating a motor vehicle in the state, and it includes information on unique situations and signs that only exist in the state. Studying that manual carefully lets you learn what different roads signs mean and how to act in different situations. With that manual and our practice tests, you can schedule your appointment as early as tomorrow.
