What restrictions come with my driver’s permit?

Teen drivers who have an instructional permit or an intermediate license must abide by the following restrictions:

Instructional Permit
• You must be accompanied by an adult 21 years or older who has a Class C driver’s license and they must sit in the front passenger seat at all times.

Class D Intermediate License
• You are not allowed to drive between 12 am and 6 am.
• During the first six months, you cannot carry any passengers outside of your immediate family.
• After six months, you can drive with one non-family passenger under 21.
• After one year, you can drive with up to three non-family passengers under 21.
