Being Prepared for Your Minnesota Drivers License Test

Whether you are a new resident to the state of Minnesota or are applying for your first Minnesota drivers license, you may be required to take an exam. Our site will help you prepare.

We offer tips, tools and resources to help you prepare for your written Minnesota drivers license test as well as your behind-the-wheel drivers test. One of the first steps in preparing for either of these tests is to thoroughly study and memorize the information in the Minnesota DVS Drivers Manual. This manual contains all the information pertaining to the rules of the road and the answers to every question that you will see on the written exam.

During your preparation, it will be very helpful to take a MN DVS practice test. We offer 5 different practice tests based on the Minnesota drivers license test to help you be prepared and confident when you arrive on test day.

Minnesota Drivers License Practice Test Description

Our MN DVS practice test consists of 25 multiple-choice questions. In order to receive a score which would qualify you to pass your official test, you must answer 80 percent of the questions correctly. After you have completed the test, you will be able to view a complete list of all 25 questions you have just seen. We have also included the correct answer to all of the questions for a quick reference as you continue to study. At this point, it may be helpful to return to the Minnesota DVS Drivers Manual to review your incorrect answers.

We have designed the DVS practice test to be taken multiple times. Repeating this test as often as possible will help you see many types of questions that you will see on test day and also commit many of the answers to memory. We recommend that you take this test as many times as you need to in order to score 25 out of 25 every time you take it.

Besides the DVS practice test, we also offer a motorcycle permit practice test, a teen permit practice test and a road signs and traffic signals practice test to help you prepare for whatever exam you may need to take to obtain a Minnesota drivers license.
