Mississippi Drivers License Practice Test Description

Now that you've held a permit, you can apply for your Mississippi drivers license, which requires passing a few tests. Our MS DPS practice test can help you pass on your first try.

Methods of Study to Pass the Mississippi Drivers License Test

Now that you've driven with restrictions for a certain amount of time, you can finally take the steps towards earning a Mississippi drivers license, which you can obtain at the Mississippi DPS. The only way that you will be allowed to carry a drivers license is if you pass two driving tests beforehand. There is a written exam and an on-the-road one. The written exam will test your knowledge of the driving rules and regulations of Mississippi, while the on-the-road exam tests the driving skills that you first put into practice with your permit. The written test contains a total of 30 multiple-choice questions, 24 or more of which must be answered correctly if you are to pass this exam.

Our DPS practice test has been modeled to replicate the look and feel of the Mississippi drivers license test, which is why you will encounter questions that are strikingly similar to those on the final exam. When taking the practice test, you will be faced with questions such as the amount of flares you will need to carry if you're operating a bus or truck at night and what to do when crossing an intersection. The information for all of these questions can be found directly in the Mississippi Drivers Manual, under the Rules of the Road section.

The MS DPS practice test will quiz you on 25 distinct questions. If you want to pass, you will need to get at least 20 of these questions right, for a passing rate of 80 percent or more. These questions are displayed in the same multiple-choice format as the Mississippi drivers license test. It's recommended that you take the practice test multiple times in order to be as prepared as possible for the final exam. This will give you the best chance of passing the first time. Consider taking our road signs and signals practice test as well to prepare for the road signal portion of the written exam.
