NC Permit Practice Test Description

For those looking to drive for the first time, there is nothing more important than obtaining a North Carolina driving permit. Take our NC permit practice test to easily pass the permit test the first time.

Improving Your Chances of Passing the DMV Permit Test

You will find that by obtaining your North Carolina teen permit and eventually your drivers license, you can gain many more freedoms that weren't available before. That being said, the NC DMV will want to make sure you're completely ready before handing you a driving permit, which is the primary reason as to why they have devised two separate exams that every prospective driver will need to pass. While you can always go back at a later date and take DMV permit test if you happen to fail, it's much better to pass your first time. Our NC permit practice test has been designed to provide you with all of the tools and information that you need to ensure you pass straight away. Your driving exams encompass two types of tests, a written format and an on-the-road driving format. This practice test focuses its content on the driving rules aspect of the written exam.

The practice test is formatted in multiple-choice questions, similar to that of the permit test. In fact, we made the practice quiz as similar as possible to the permit test. Despite this, the questions are different on each test, due to their random placement, which means you will need to put in some time studying the North Carolina driving rules subject material, which you will find in the North Carolina Drivers Handbook. The types of questions you will find on the quiz include everything from when to switch on your turning signals to how to react when faced with foggy conditions.

This practice test that you are about to take will provide you with 20 different questions, of which you will need to answer at least 16 correctly in order to achieve a passing grade of 80 percent or higher. Though you might fail once or twice, you can take the practice test as often as you would like, something that is strongly recommended. If you would also like to practice for your other exams, check out our road signs and signals practice test.
