Rhode Island Drivers License Practice Test Description

Preparing for your first Rhode Island drivers license can be overwhelming. Our site offers tools and tips such as practice tests, blogs and test-taking advice to help you prepare.

We feel that one of the most valuable study aids that you can use as you prepare to take your Rhode Island drivers license test is a RI DMV practice test. We offer five versions of our DMV practice test in an effort to help you fully simulate the test-taking environment.

Before you take any of our practice tests, we recommend that you thoroughly read and study the most recent edition of the Rhode Island DMV Drivers Manual. All of the information that you will be required to know in order to pass your Rhode Island drivers license test and stay safe on the road after you have succeeded will be contained in this manual.

Our RI DMV practice test has been designed to be taken as many times as you feel necessary in order to feel comfortable with the types of questions that you will see on test day.

How Our DMV Practice Test Works

Our RI DMV practice test consists of 25 multiple-choice questions. In order to receive a passing grade, 20 of these questions must be answered correctly. After you have answered each question, the test will instantly let you know whether you have answered correctly. As an added resource, we also provide the page number in the Rhode Island DMV Drivers Manual where the correct answer can be found. If you feel uncomfortable with any question, you can simply skip it and return before you have finished the quiz.

Once you have completed the DMV practice test, you will receive your score. Additionally, we have provided you with a complete list of all 25 questions and answers, as well as indicate which questions you may have answered incorrectly. We suggest you refer to the DMV drivers manual to reference any missed questions and then retake the test. We also recommend you take each practice test as many times as needed in order to achieve a perfect score each time.

In addition to our drivers license practice test, we also offer a road signs and traffic signals practice test in the event that you are tested on the function of street signs that you may encounter on the roads of Rhode Island.
