Motorcycle Permit Practice Test Description

When looking to drive a motorcycle for the first time, it's essential to obtain a North Carolina motorcycle permit. Take our motorcycle permit practice test to better prepare for the test.

Tips for Passing the Motorcycle Permit Test

Driving a motorcycle offers a wealth of freedoms that just aren't the same when driving a typical vehicle. The steps you must take before being able to drive without restrictions are exceedingly similar to a standard drivers license. You will need to earn a North Carolina motorcycle permit. These permits are only provided to those who pass a couple of driving exams. The two exams that will be presented to you include a written exam and an on-the-road exam that ascertains your level of motorcycle-driving skills. While these tests can be challenging to pass, you will find that a good amount of study and practice will aid greatly. The motorcycle-permit test covers a portion centered on motorcycle driving rules and another on road and traffic signs.

The motorcycle permit practice test was based off the driving rules section on the written exam. While the questions on both are very similar to each other, they will not be exact matches, due to the randomized layout of the questions. This will prohibit you from being able to use the answers of the practice quiz to pass the permit test. With that being said, the practice test does give you a look at what to expect on test day. In fact, by taking the practice test multiple times, successfully completing the final exam will become a much easier ordeal. You will also find that the questions on each use a multiple-choice format that gives you four possible answers to choose from.

As you are taking the practice quiz, you will come across 20 separate questions, of which 16 or more need to be answered correctly to pass. These questions may include such driving rules as identifying what restrictions a driver with a permit has and what to do when you find yourself in a traffic collision. Perusing the North Carolina Drivers Manual will provide you with all of the driving rules info you need to know. Also try taking our Road Signs and Signals practice test for additional preparation for your other exams.
