If you are age 14 or over, you may be able to obtain a Class M motorcycle license in the state of Alaska. This would allow you to legally operate your bike in cities such as Anchorage or head north on Interstate 4. However, before you can get a valid motorcycle license in the state, you are required to pass a vision, written and riding skills test. Our goal is to help you gain the knowledge that you will need to pass the written test. In order to pass, the state requires you to correctly answer at least 80 percent of the multiple-choice questions. To make the goal of passing the test easier, we have simulated practice tests that you can take for free.

The material that you will be tested on relates to information included in the Alaska motorcycle operator manual. To become a knowledgeable motorcycle rider who understands the rules regarding safe motorcycle operation, it is suggested that you study all of the topics that are presented in the manual. Subjects covered range from shifting gears and looking for trouble to carrying loads and riding at night. You'll also want to practice answering our motorcycle permit test questions that follow the same structure as the real exam.

The real test given by the DMV is not extremely rigorous if you have gone over all the material located in the handbook. However, some of the questions may be a little tricky to understand. To alleviate that challenge, you will probably want to spend time studying all of the practice tests we provide. These questions are randomized, and immediate answers are given if you fail to correctly answer any questions. This feature allows you to brush up on material that you still don't understand. Be sure to also study the Alaska traffic signals and road signs test. In this test, you will be asked questions that simulate situations regarding traffic signals and road signs. Become familiar with these questions until you feel fully prepared.
