When can I get my driver’s license?

To obtain an Operator’s License, you must meet the following requirements:

Operator’s License (Class O)
• You must be at least 17 years old.
• You must have held a POP for at least 12 months.
• You must not have more than three points on your driving record during the 12-month period before applying.
• You must pass a vision test if you held a POP. If you are 18 or older and have not held a POP, you must pass the written, visions and driving tests. The written test may be waived if you previously held an LPD.

A Class O Operator’s License authorizes you to operate a motor vehicle, moped or an all-terrain vehicle (ATV). The Operator’s License will expire on your 21st birthday.
