Motorcycle Permit Practice Test Description

When considering a motorcycle drivers license, it's necessary to earn your North Carolina Motorcycle permit. As there are a few tests you must pass beforehand, take our motorcycle permit practice test for preparation.

Tips on Passing the Motorcycle Permit Test

Driving a motorcycle is a huge responsibility, one that requires the passing of a multitude of tests before receiving a North Carolina motorcycle permit. While some of these tests can be tricky to successfully complete, studying the correct material and utilizing practice tests will allow you to have a much better chance of passing the motorcycle permit test the first time. Initially, you will be tasked with completing two different exams, a written test and an on-cycle test. Although you might believe the second one to be the more difficult of the two, it's still just as important to prepare yourself for the first one so you can pass it right away and focus on the driving exam. The written exam centers on rules of the road, while the on-cycle exam is designed to test your driving skills. The motorcycle permit practice test is a designed to help you pass the written exam.

While the practice test is meant to be a replica of the permit test, you will find that the questions are different on both as they are randomized for everyone. However, they both cover the same material, so if you peruse the North Carolina Drivers Handbook, you will find everything you need to know about North Carolina driving rules. The practice quiz will also help give you a sense of what types of questions you will encounter on the motorcycle permit test. These questions may include anything from what is the nominal speed you should be driving at during rainy weather to how to react when involved in a car accident.

The practice quiz will test you on 12 different multiple-choice questions, similar to what you'll find on the permit test. It is up to you to answer at least 80 percent of these questions correctly to pass. However, you can and should take the test many times. Also feel free to take the road signs and signals practice test to help prepare you for your other exams.
