South Dakota Teen Permit Practice Test Description

For teenagers to receive their driving permit in South Dakota, they will need to pass a few tests. The best way to ensure a passing score is to take advantage of our practice tests.

Ways That Our SD Permit Practice Test Helps You

Teenagers look forward to the day that they are able to get their learners permit, but before they are able to do so, they must pass a selection of driving tests. These tests are designed to ensure that teenagers are familiar with the rules of driving and various road signs that they may encounter before they are legally able to head out on the road. Taking our South Dakota driving permit practice test is a great way to gain the knowledge and confidence that is needed in order to pass the first time around.

There are several different exams that you will be tested on before you are able to receive your drivers license within South Dakota. The first step is to obtain your South Dakota driving permit by taking the written test. This test is made up of two different parts including a driving rules section and a road signs section. Our practice test quizzes teens on their knowledge of driving rules within the state of South Dakota. Some questions that you may encounter on the practice test as well as on the DPS permit test include how to maintain a safe distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead and what to do if you are in a traffic accident. The answers to these questions are important to know in order to pass the test and for your safety while on the road.

The written DPS permit test includes a total of 25 questions. Teens must get at least 80 percent correct in order to pass the test. Because these questions are randomized each time, it is important to take our practice test multiple times to become familiar with all questions, driving rules and regulations. You must also complete and pass a vision screening to be awarded your South Dakota teen permit. You will find most of the information that you will need to know for the test in the South Dakota driving handbook. Those who would also like to prepare for the road signs portion of the written test can take advantage of our road signs practice test as well.
