Wisconsin Motorcycle Permit Test Description

Driving a motorcycle requires a new skill set, and a permit is your chance to learn how to drive safely. Our practice tests can help you gain confidence and become a better driver.

Our WI Motorcycle Permit Practice Test Gets You Ready for the Road

There are two types of people applying to get a motorcycle permit. If you have been a licensed driver for years, you have already passed an initial driving permit to drive a car. In the years since you took the test, there might have been changes in the law or ones that pertain only to motorcyclist. The other type is a teen driver who has never attempted an actual knowledge exam. No matter which category you fall into, you will want to download the Wisconsin motorcycle driver's handbook first. If you flip through the guide and feel like there is too much to learn, it will be okay. This information is all new to you but not difficult to learn. Our practice tests can help you identify any weak areas in your studies and reinforce the information you have already covered. The practice tests and knowledge exam are designed to help you gain confidence and become a better driver on the road.

Your motorcycle permit test can include anything in the driver's handbook such as traffic laws, driver safety rules and road signs. The questions you see on your knowledge test come from a pool of questions and are randomly selected. This is the same way our practice test works. Each time you attempt a practice exam, you will see a variety of new questions, making it an invaluable study tool. You will be able to cover a wide range of topics and possible questions in a reasonable amount of time.

Taking your motorcycle permit test does not require an advance appointment in Wisconsin. You will not need to wait until the end of the exam to see how you are doing because you will see if you have gotten the question right immediately after answering it. In order to receive your permit, you will need to get at least 80 percent of the questions correct on the exam.
