Testing For Your Maryland Teen Permit
A Maryland driving permit allows you to get behind the wheel of a car and begin learning how to be a safe driver. With the help of a practice test, your MVA permit test will be easier to pass.
Our MD Permit Practice Test Description
Maryland has very strict driving laws, and you need to understand these laws and safety rules before you can receive your permit. With almost 50 percent of first-time test takers failing, you need an edge to pass. The trick to passing the permit test the first time is studying and taking practice exams. In order to study, you will need a copy of the Maryland driver's handbook, which you can download here. Taking some time to read through the manual is an essential part of studying. In some cases, you might want to take notes of things that seem difficult or confusing to you. Any information in your driver's manual is a possible question on your MVA permit test. This includes road signs, driver safety rules and traffic laws. After spending some time studying, you will be ready to take your first practice test.
Confidence-building practice tests are designed to help you identify what you know and where you might need more study time. Our tests are a series of 25 randomly generated questions from a pool of possibilities. You will need to choose the best answer from the various answers. Immediately after submitting your answer, you will see the correct answer along with the page where the information can be found in your driver's manual.
In Maryland, you do not need an advance appointment to take your permit test. Your permit test is timed, and you have 20 minutes to answer each question. There are 25 questions that need to be answered, and you will need to answer 85 percent of them correctly to pass or a minimum of 22 questions. When you take your actual exam, you will see the formatting is similar to that of the practice test, and this will help boost your confidence.
