The content of the questions includes subject matter such as speed limits, signaling, parking, driving during hazardous road conditions, the use of cellphones while driving, pedestrian and bicycle safety and responding to emergency vehicles. In order to obtain a New York driving permit, you need to be well-prepared for the content of the exam. These days, just studying the New York state driving manual simply is not enough to fully prepare yourself. Taking this randomized quiz will help you familiarize yourself with the types of questions you will see on the official exam.

To get a passing score on this NY permit practice test, you must correctly answer 16 of the 20 questions for a score of 80 percent or higher. If you do not pass the quiz on your first attempt, you can take it as many times as you need to in order to score a passing grade. For each question that you incorrectly answer, you will receive feedback about the correct answer as well as guidance on where to find more information in the New York driving manual. When you go to the New York DMV to take the official teen permit test, you will be given an exam containing 20 questions. To pass the teen permit test, you must correctly answer 14 of the multiple choice questions for a passing score of 70 percent or higher.
