Virginia Teen Permit Practice Test Description

To receive your Virginia driving permit as a teenager, you will need to pass a two-part knowledge exam. The best way to ensure that you pass is by taking our practice DMV permit test multiple times. Doing so will help you prepare for all the questions you will see on the test and will help you become a responsible and safe driver on the road.

How Our VA Permit Practice Test Helps You

One of the biggest milestones as a teenager is getting your first driver's permit and taking that first step towards getting a driver's license and the greater independence that comes with it. In order to receive the Virginia teen permit, you will need to pass a two-part knowledge exam. While this test is not hard, some of the questions may be tricky, especially if you have not studied beforehand or at least taken a practice test. Taking our DMV practice test multiple times will help familiarize you with the test, so you can excel on the actual test day.

For the two-part knowledge exam, you will need to first pass the traffic signs portion before moving on to the general knowledge portion of the test. Our practice tests will focus on traffic signs, which includes what the meaning is of various road signs you will encounter, and on general knowledge of traffic rules such as signals, pavement markings, safety and other general driving topics. You will need to understand these rules, so you can be a safe, knowledgeable driver once you hit the streets. That is the reason for the practice test and for the Virginia teen permit test.

Once test day is here, our VA permit practice test will have helped you get ready for the testing environment as well as given you a glimpse on test content and structure. You will be quizzed on 20 multiple-choice questions and must answer at least 16 correctly with a score of 80 percent or higher to pass. Because all of the questions are completely random, you will need to take the quiz multiple times. You will find that all of the information in the test resides in the Virginia Driving Manual. If you would like more practice on traffic signs, you can take our Virginia DMV Road Signs and Signals Practice Test.
