You may have many reasons for wanting to obtain a Class M motorcycle license in the state of Alabama. However, to ensure that you are safe and understand the rules of the road, the law requires you to take tests that show your ability and knowledge regarding safe motorcycle operation. One of the tests requires you to operate your motorcycle on a skills course, and the other test is a written exam that shows your knowledge on topics that range from lane changing and proper motorcycle gear to parking at the road side and using your mirrors. Once you turn 16 years old, you are eligible to take these tests and obtain an Alabama motorcycle permit. To help you feel comfortable with the structure of the written exam, we have designed practice tests to help you.

Fortunately, you won't have to go in to your test day blind. While the real motorcycle permit test is closed book, the Alabama Motorcycle Operator Manual is available to study. In it, you will find topics that range from carrying passengers and group riding to using your mirrors and merging with cars. These topics are formulated to ensure that you are able to safely operate and maneuver your motorcycle. You may need to read through the manual a few times so that you have a good grasp of the material. After that, test your knowledge by taking the practice tests that we have available.

The Alabama DPS official motorcycle permit test has multiple-choice questions. In order to pass, you must successfully answer at least 80 percent of the 25 questions that are given. To help you gain the knowledge that you need to succeed on the written exam, study the questions that are provided on our practice tests. Questions that are given will be completely random, so it's advisable to go through these practice tests more than once. Also, you will want to make sure that you you are able to recognize and understand the meaning of road signs and traffic signals that are located in the state of Alabama. Once you feel like you fully understand all of the material, you should be ready for your official test day.
