Ohio Drivers License Practice Test Description

As you've been driving with a permit for six months, it's now time to earn your Ohio drivers license. Earning this license requires the passing of a few tests, which is why you should take our OH BMV practice test.

Tips for Passing the Ohio Drivers License Test

Arriving at the point where you can finally obtain an Ohio drivers license and drive without any restrictions whatsoever is an accomplishment that should be celebrated. However, before doing so, there is the matter of a couple of driving exams that will need to be passed before the OH BMV can hand you a license. These tests include a written exam and a driving skills examination that tests your ability to utilize your driving knowledge in real-world situations. The written exam is one that spans 2 sections, a portion dedicated to rules of the road and another to the identification of traffic signs. You will notice that the BMV practice test is meant to quiz you on the portion of the written exam centered on rules of the road.

One of the first things you will come to realize when taking the Ohio drivers license test is that the types of questions found on the exam are extremely similar to the ones on the practice quiz. You will also find that the questions are provided to you as multiple choice, with four possible answers to choose from. Although the questions are highly similar to each other, they won't be exactly the same as they are randomized on both. Even though you won't be able to memorize and use the answers from the OH BMV practice test, you will begin to achieve a progressively higher score each time you take the practice test, which should help when facing the Ohio drivers license test.

The BMV practice test contains 20 separate questions, but 16 need to be answered correctly in order to pass, which equals 80 percent. The types of questions you might encounter include what will happen to your license if you are given a DUI and which lights to use during foggy conditions. All of this and more is displayed within the Digest of Ohio Motor Vehicle Laws. The Road Signs and Signals practice test will also help you out with the other portions of your testing.
