OH Teen Permit Practice Test Description

As a teenager looking to drive for the first time, you will need to pass a few tests in order to earn your Ohio teen permit. Taking our OH permit practice test several times in preparation will make the actual test easier for you.

Study Tips and Materials for the BMV Permit Test

Driving is a huge responsibility, which is why the BMV tests your driving knowledge and capabilities. To receive your Ohio teen permit, you'll need to take both a written and on-the-road test. The written exam consists of a driving rules and regulations section and a section that focuses on traffic signs. The OH permit practice test quizzes you on the driving rules and regulations that you'll need to know for the BMV permit test and contains the same multiple-choice format. While the final test can be challenging, especially if you're taking it for the first time, you will find that it is much simpler if you study and practice adequately beforehand.

The questions on both the practice quiz and permit test are given to you at random, so there's no way to ascertain the exact questions you are going to see on the official test. You can take this practice quiz an unlimited number of times, and it is recommended that you take it several times to help you confidently pass the test. All of this information covered on this quiz can be reviewed in the Digest of Ohio Motor Vehicle Laws.

The practice test will provide you with 20 questions to answer. You must answer at least 16 of these questions correctly for a passing score of 80 percent or higher. You'll need to pass the actual BMV permit test with a minimum score of 75 percent. If you would like to prepare for the road signs aspect of the test, take our Road Signs and Signals practice test and find yourself that much closer to earning your Ohio driving permit.
