California Motorcycle Permit Practice Test
This California motorcycle permit practice quiz includes 12 questions to prepare you for the official test at the DMV. The questions in this quiz are randomized so that if you do not pass it on your first try, you can keep on taking it and get a new selection of questions. Each of the questions is multiple-choice. If you make an incorrect selection, you'll be provided with the correct answer and a reference to the California driver's manual, so you can obtain more information if you need it. Taking the quiz several times is a good idea so that you can see the wide range of subjects that the official test will include. In order to get a passing score on the practice motorcycle permit test, you'll need to answer at least 80 percent of the questions correctly. On the official California motorcycle permit test, there are 25 multiple-choice questions, and you'll need to answer at least 20 of them correctly in order to get your permit. The subject matter of these questions includes the use of protective gear, speed limits, parking, safety, stopping, hazardous road conditions and riding with passengers on the motorcycle. The California DMV only allows applicants three tries to take and pass the test, so allot yourself plenty of time to study the manual and take these practice tests.
Other Practice Motorcycle Permit Tests You May Need to Take
In addition to taking the California motorcycle permit test at the DMV, you may also need to take the on-road motorcycle test. Motorcycle permit applicants who are over the age of 21 and have passed an approved on-road motorcycle operator training program can receive a waiver for this test. In addition to the practice tests available for getting a motorcycle permit, you may want to take other practice tests such as the California road signs and signals test.
