California Tests Made Easy
If you live in California and want to operate a motorcycle, you need to take the California motorcycle permit test before hitting the open road. California is one of several states that only give you a limited number of tries. If you fail the test three times, you cannot get your license. With our motorcycle permit practice test, you'll get some idea about what you might see on that test.
The requirements needed to obtain a motorcycle license in California vary based on your age. Riders under the age of 18 must bring in a signed parental consent form and take the motorcycle permit test first. If they pass, they receive a permit that they can use for six months before applying for a full license. Motorcycle riders under the age of 21 must complete an approved training program in the state that teaches them how to safely ride, and they can then take the road skills test. If you're over the age of 21 and completed one of these training programs, you can get your license without taking the road skills portion of the test.
