Illinois Motorcycle Permit Practice Test Description

To drive a motorcycle, you must first earn an Illinois motorcycle permit, which requires the passing of a selection of driving exams. Take our motorcycle permit practice test to help pass these exams.

Useful Methods of Study for Motorcycle Permit Test

If you are looking to obtain a motorcycle drivers license, it is required of you to first earn and maintain an Illinois motorcycle permit for a few months before you can do so. There are two types of exams that every prospective permit holder will need to take: a written exam and an on-cycle exam. The written exam is basically derived from Illinois driving rules and regulations. Even though these tests might seem difficult for first-timers, you will find that with a bit of practice and study, passing them is exceedingly easy to do. The motorcycle permit practice test is geared towards emulating the written portion of the motorcycle permit test.

When taking this practice test, you will notice that the 15 questions are displayed to you in multiple-choice format, the same as the permit test will be. The questions that you will be given on both the quiz and test are randomly generated, and you may not see the same questions if you take the test multiple times. As such, this practice test won't be able to give you the exact answers to the questions found on the permit test. However, they will be able to give you a glimpse of what you should expect on the written exam. An example includes what you can do to warn other drivers that you are about to brake. All of this driving information can be located within the Illinois Motorcycle Operator Manual.

On the practice test, you will be presented with 12 questions that you need to answer. To pass, you must score a grade of at least 80 percent. Take the practice test multiple times for maximum effectiveness. For your own benefit as well as test-taking purposes, you will want to learn to identify road signs with our Road Signs and Signals practice test.
