Pennsylvania Drivers License Practice Test Description

If you've held your drivers permit for a year, it is time to earn a Pennsylvania drivers license. Our PA PennDOT practice test can help you pass your written test. As with the permit test, a considerable amount of study and preparation can make the process of earning your drivers license as smooth and hassle-free as possible. You'll need to pass a vision exam, an on-the-road test and a written test. The vision exam is the only one in which early preparation is not necessary. The written exam will be divided into two sections. One is based on Pennsylvania driving laws, and the other is based on the road and traffic signs within the state.

How the PennDOT Practice Test Can Help You

The PA PennDOT practice quiz tests your knowledge on the driving laws you'll need to abide by once you've received your license. Its multiple-choice layout is similar to that of the official test, and it covers the same topics. The PennDOT practice test presents a new set of randomized questions each time you take the test. Therefore, taking the practice quiz a few times will give you a much higher chance of passing the Pennsylvania drivers license test and ensure that you are comfortable with the material and testing format. The PA PennDOT practice test contains 20 questions. In order to pass, you must answer 16 or more of these questions correctly, which will give you a passing score of 80 percent or higher.

All information contained within this quiz can be found in the Pennsylvania Drivers Manual. You'll be referred to specific sections of the manual to review information for questions you answered incorrectly on the practice test. To put your knowledge to the test in other areas, take the Road Signs and Signals Practice Test.
